Coastal Trade Ventures (CTV) proudly participated in the 40th Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI 2025), held at ICE BSD City, Tangerang. Represented by Mr. Vraj Patel, Business Development Lead, CTV joined the official delegation team of the South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SGCCI), India.

The visit focused on exploring opportunities for the export of industrial salt from India to Indonesia, along with promoting agricultural commodities such as spices, chemical, and processed food products.

Strategic Engagements

At Trade Expo Indonesia

  • Government Meetings: Productive discussions with H.E. Budi Santoso, Minister of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia, and senior officials from the Directorate General of National Export Development.
  • Chamber Collaboration: Engagement with KADIN Indonesia (Indonesian Chamber of Commerce & Industry) to strengthen institutional ties and facilitate buyer–seller partnerships.
  • SGCCI Leadership: Delegation led by Mr. Nikhil Madrasi (President, SGCCI), accompanied by Mr. Bijal Jariwala (Honorary Secretary), Mr. Mitesh Modi (Honorary Treasurer), and sectoral representatives from textiles, chemicals, salt, and agriculture.

Embassy Engagement

Following the expo, the delegation visited the Embassy of India in Jakarta.

  • Meeting: Mr. Vraj Patel and SGCCI team held in‑depth discussions with Ms. Malavika Priyadarshini, Counsellor (Economic & Commerce), Embassy of India to Indonesia.
  • Focus Areas:
    • Strengthening bilateral trade relations in industrial salt and agricultural commodities.
    • Policy support and facilitation for Indian exporters entering Indonesia.
    • Exploring cooperation in textiles, chemicals, and processed food.
    • Leveraging Embassy support to connect SGCCI and CTV with Indonesian chambers, trade associations, and government agencies.
  • Outcome: Ms. Priyadarshini emphasized the Embassy’s role in bridging Indian businesses with Indonesian stakeholders and assured continued support for initiatives enhancing trade flows and investment opportunities.
